Achanak
Workshops
The band is able to undertake educational workshops covering areas such as vocal, studio production and asian drumming.
These workshops can be undertaken anywhere in the UK and can range from half a day to a full two day workshop programme.
The workshops are not just ideal for improving the understanding of the genre for like minded musicians from other genres but can also be used for corporate events and conferences
Classes size can range from small as five to twenty five. Instruments can be hired when ever this is necessary.
Each workshop has clear defined objectives and a programme can be drawn up where the recipients can end the programme with a live performance.
Workshops can cover such instruments as:
- Tabla
- Dhol
- Harmonium
- Vocals
- drums
The workshops can be utilised for:
- Teambuilding - all the participants start from a level playing base as they try to understand the nature of Indian rhythms.
- In order for the session to work all the participants need to perform together in unison and may be asked to play a range of instruments but within the same framework - this is very similar to real life organisations where separate departments whilst technically different in job roles, all have to operate within a given strategy.
- The sessions will give participants a chance to understand their own limitations and potential and put this in the context of their organisational roles.
- Leadership - In certain parts of the session, individuals will be asked to take responsibility by leading sessions, thereby encouraging leadership and organisational skills.
Also available is the practical skills involved in studio production as the band includes musicians who are experienced in putting tracks together.
